Update Number 1, Phase 1, 22nd June – End of July

The main section of the Hambledon Flood Alleviation project has now begun. It is envisaged that the project will be completed in late Summer 2016. We would like to help keep you informed about the works so this is the first of a regular update that will be providing to you as the scheme progresses

Shops and businesses will remain open as usual throughout the works.

Our first road closure will commence on Monday 22nd June, when the B2150 Hambledon Road, will be closed south of the Cams Hill junction. The proposed diversion route is shown overleaf. Although the work will be contained within short sections in order to minimise disruption, the diversion route will need to remain in place as work progresses along West Street until the junction with Green Lane. It is anticipated that this will be towards the end of the year

We are keen to minimise any inconvenience to local businesses and residents, so if you have any specific concerns, please raise these with the contractor as the works progress. Please contact Donna Crangle on 02392 632697.

We will be providing a ‘One-Stop-Shop’ facility at the village Hall on the 2nd Monday of each month between 3.30 and 6.00pm where you will be able to call in and ask us any questions about the scheme. The next meeting is on Monday 13th July. An information point with details about the scheme will also be provided at the Village Hall.
